Grimethorpe's win at London was only the second time since 1971 that the draw number 16 has come up trumps, whilst the unlucky band drawn number 1 comes in the bottom six for the fourth year in a row.

Nambour and Maroochy "Sunshine Brass" presented its 38th Festival of Brass over the weekend. Sixteen bands and approximately 100 soloists and ensembles competed in this years event, held in Nambour in South East Queensland.
