Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy sets out the purposes for which we (4barsrest.com Ltd.) collect and process your personal data. It also explains how we maintain it, who we share it with and your rights in relation to that data.

What personal information do you collect?

We collect and store personal information about you when you sign up for one of our services. Normally this consists of:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email Address(s)
  • Telephone number(s)

Depending on the type of service you have signed up for we may collected additional information such as where you live. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need. 

How do you use it?

That depends on which service your have subscribed to. We outline each service below.

Classifieds

The personal information (and password) you provide when you sign up for the classified service is used to enable you to log in and administer your classified account.

By signing up for the classified serivce you will be entering a contract arrangement with us. As part of that contract arrangement we may use the personal information you provide to contact you about your account or changes to the classified service.

The personal information you include on any adverts you post when you use the classified service will be displayed as part of the advert that appears on the website.

Subscriptions

The personal information and credit card details you provide when you support 4barsrest with a financial donation (recurring payment or single payment) is processed securely with the payment processing company (Stripe). For increased security, 4barsrest does store your credit card information. We may use the email address you supplied to contact you about your subscription. For example when a transaction fails or to update your card details.

Professional Cards

The personal information you provide when you sign up for the professional card service is used on the website to display a personal advertising profile of your skills and experience.

By signing up for the professional card serivce you will be entering a contract arrangement with us. As part of that contract arrangement we may use the personal information you provide to contact you about the professional cards service.

Personal Accounts

The personal information (and password) you provide when you sign up for a personal account is used to enable you to log in and administer your account. If consent is provided, we may use this personal information you provide to contact you about your account or send you marketing emails. We will not send you marketing emails if consent is not provided.

Access to your information

You have the right to request access to all the information we have on you. You can so this by contacting us at mydata@4barsrest.com. We may ask you to verify your identity when you make a request.

Information Correction and Deletion

If you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. We regularly monitor the information we collect and delete any information no longer needed. If you delete your account, then your personal information will immediately be deleted. Alternatively you can request to have your personal information deleted by contacting  us at mydata@4barsrest.com

Do you sell or share my information with other organisations

No. Never.

Is any of my information held by 3rd Parties?

If you have subscribed to our mailing list service then your address maybe stored with our email marketing software partner (Mailjet). If you make a financial transaction with us, information is passed to the payment processor (eg. PayPal or Stripe) for the purpose of processing the payment.

How long will you keep my information?

If you have made a financial transaction with us then we are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. 

Data retention periods for each of our services are listed below.

Classifieds and Professional Cards

If you decide not to renew your subscription service, we will automatically delete your account after 180 days. We may continue to contact you during that time. During this time you can delete the account yourself or make a request for us to remove your account by contacting us at classifieds@4barsrest.com.

If your band has a free youth account then we may delete your account if it hasn't been used in the last 24 months.

Personal accounts

We keep personal account information for as long as the account remains active. You can delete the account yourself at any time or make a request for us to remove your account by contacting us at myaccount@4barsrest.com. We may delete your account if you haven’t used it in the the last 24 months. If you have chosen to be part of our mailing list then we may also remove your account if your email addresses repeatedly 'bounces' any emails sent to it.

Updates to our Privacy Policy

We will occasionally make updates to our Privacy Policy. Any changes we make will be posted on this page. We will always notify you by email if significant changes are made.


Our Privacy Policy Pre 25 May 2018

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will not pass on any individual user details for third party use unless we have your prior consent.

As part of the free service you will get from 4barsrest.com you will receive the occasional email from us (informational and promotional) if you have created a 4barrest account. If you do not wish to receive these emails you can stop them by deleteing your account at any time. Will do not retain any account information as a result of a deleted account.

Linthwaite Band

February 10 • Linthwaite are a friendly 4th section band looking forward to the Yorkshire area contest in March, following on from that we will have a vacancy for a 2nd cornet. We also have various contests and engagements coming up through the year to keep us busy.


Chinnor Silver

February 7 • Our COMMUNITY BAND meets on a Monday morning and we welcome any players who would like an extra blow.. players of all abilities welcome and we do not expect you to alter your allegiance to your band.. just a fun blow with cake and coffee.


wantage silver band

February 5 • Wantage Band (championship section) has a vacancy for TOP 2ND CORNET. This would suit a player with experience in a championship/first section band. Rehearsals take place every Sun 7:30pm and Wed 8pm in Wantage with highly experienced MD Chris King.
