The results of the Scottish Brass Band Association’s recent questionnaire to member bands concerning modernisation have now been revealed.

Rule changes

The questionnaire touched upon many subjects, including rule changes for guest players, grading and music selection, as well as general player registration. The latter topic saw 64% of the bands vote in favour of change.

Working party

A working party has now been set up to develop a new system, which could well see a ‘credit card’ style registration process used in future. SBBA hope the plans will be out in place by their AGM later this year.
