The Yorkshire Wind Orchestra a regional charity promoting live wind music in the Yorkshire region, is opening its doors to musicians of any age at the Yorkshire Playday 2008.
Expert direction
Held at Bradford Grammar School on Saturday 1st November, the Playday will give musicians a chance to take part in wind orchestra sessions under the expert direction of the internationally-renowned leading authority on wind ensembles, Keiron Anderson.

Varying abilities
Sectional and small ensembles with the Orchestra's principal players along with clarinet, flute, saxophone and brass groups will give players of varying abilities a chance to get involved.
Amanda Woodhouse the orchestra's manager and organiser of the Playday told 4BR: "If you're an aspiring musician wanting to improve your ensemble skills or someone who used to play at college or university but rarely now has the time or opportunity to pick up your instrument then the Yorkshire Playday is for you."
Fantastic and energetic day
Amanda added: "It should be a fantastic and energetic day with so many different types of groups and players coming together to share their enthusiasm for live music".
The Playday will culminate in an evening Concert of Winds at 7.00pm performed by the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra and featuring highlights from the Playday.
