Saddleworth’s former top cornet player and now whistling virtuoso David Morris was a huge hit recently backed by US bands.

David appeared with the Prairie Brass Band of Arlington Heights, Chicago, conducted by Dallas Niermeyer in a sell out concert. The band were on top form and included impressive solos from principal cornet Mark Fenne with 'Buster Strikes Back' and solo baritone, Paul Eakley with 'Benedictus'.
David received a standing ovation for his performance which included items such as 'Cleopatra', 'You Raise Me Up', 'El Cumbanchero' and Monti’s 'Czardas'.

Friday Night is Music Night
Moving on to Edwardsville, Illinois, David then appeared with the Southern Illinois University Concert Band and Wind Symphony in another packed event which the audience loved.
Next month David will be featured on BBC Radio 2’s 'Friday Night is Music Night' backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
