Despite the recent news that Cardiff University is proposing to close its Music Department, it will still play host to the vibrant atmosphere and brilliant music making of the 2025 UniBrass Championships on Saturday 15th February.
23 bands
UniBrass 2025 will be spread across the School of Music, and the accommodating Student's Union, with a dozen bands taking part in the Trophy Section, to be held in the SU Great Hall, and 11 bands lining up in the Shield Section, to be held in the School of Music Concert Hall.
Mark Wilkinson and Ailsa Russell will judge the competitors in the Trophy Section, whilst Chris Bond and Emily Evans will look after the Shield Section.

Following the contest, Band Pres Llareggub perform an exciting gala concert before the day is rounded off with the UniBrass social event at Cardiff University SU Club: Y Plas.
Tickets
Tickets are on sale for the contest and concert and can be purchased from the UniBrass website.
Both seated and standing tickets will be available for purchase. Prices range from £15 for children, £18 for students and £22 for adults.
