Haverhill Silver Band is looking forward to performing at Newmarket Racecourse on the Coronation weekend.
It will see the band play at a special celebration on Saturday 6th May combining the Coronation of King Charles III with the three-day QIPCO Guineas Festival.
The racecourse will be themed to reflect the day and will also show the Coronation on dedicated screens around the course before the racing begins.
The band will be contributing to the atmosphere by playing two sets: a patriotic Coronation-themed programme followed by popular tunes and easy-listening music.
Unique performance
Speaking about the unique performance opportunity Haverhill Musical Director, Paul Filby said: "We are delighted to return to Newmarket races again this year, especially as part of the QIPCO 2000 Guineas Festival and Coronation celebrations.
The profile couldn't really be any higher with the event expected to attract a crowd well in excess of 15,000 as well as international news and media coverage."
Haverhill Silver Band joins a star-studded line-up of guests for the event including singer Laura Wright and Michelin starred chef, Michel Roux.
