Haverhill Silver Band will be celebrating their belated 200th anniversary this weekend (Sunday 22nd May) with a joint concert with Brighouse & Rastrick Band.
2020 was actually Haverhill's bicentenary year, but however the planned concerts and events to mark the occasion were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, on their return to the contest stage earlier this year the band claimed their first ever London & Southern Counties Championship Section title, becoming the first Suffolk band ever to achieve the feat.
Following the concert the band will be continuing their anniversary celebrations with appearances at a number of local events throughout the year before focussing their on their Royal Albert Hall appearance.

The concert starts at 4.00pm and will feature a set from each band, some solo items from Chris Robertson and Tim Pannell, and a rousing massed bands finale. There will also be a pre-concert performance from the Haverhill Youth & Community Band.
