Due to a withdrawal, there is a much sought after place to be filled for one of the UK's most lucrative contests.
Hefty cheques
All at the Doctor Martin Wainstone Cup bands will play a march, solo and own-choice test-piece, with the winner's also going home with a hefty cheque for £4,000.
There are also further podium prizes of £2,000 and £1,000, with the fourth placed band winning £500 and with £250 on offer for the 'Best March' and 'Best Soloist'.
Each band will also receive £400 towards their travel expenses.
The contest is being held at the Princess Alexander Auditorium, Yarm School, Stockton on Tees on Sunday the 8th of September.
Excellent opportunity
A spokesperson told 4BR: "Unfortunately a band has withdrawn. This represents an excellent opportunity for another ambitious band to take their place.
If you would like your band to compete please contact: s.goodwin.55@hotmail.co.uk without delay.
We are also pleased to announce that the contest will be supporting the AoBBA trainee adjudicator programme when Toby Bannon will receive guidance from our experienced adjudicator."
