There was some great playing on show at the event

There was a great display of musical talent on show at the recent Leicestershire BBA's annual competition held at the Loughborough Endowed Schools Campus.

The event saw over 140 performances across 19 different sections, ranging from Slow Medley to Air Varie, and involving all age groups.

Quality

The adjudicators Dave Purkiss (joined by AoBBA shadow adjudicator, Sam Fisher), Sharon Stansfield and Graham Sutton all stated how impressed they were with the quality of playing on show across all the sections.

Each year the LBBA 'Junior Champion' prize is awarded the highest placed performer across all the available age groups sections, with this year the Harry Bray Memorial Trophy going to Luke Newborough of Shirland Welfare Training.
