Bhangra connection
They also performed with the remarkable Bhangra band Punjabi Roots in a performance of 'Five Rivers' written by Lucy Pankhurst, part of which was replayed in 'The Travel Show' programme.
The band and MD, Prof Nicholas Childs were featured throughout in noting their history, their connections to Bradford and The Beatles on the pop song 'Yellow Submarine', and with their performance at the opening 'The Great Brass Blowout' event which was hosted by presenter Zoe Ball — bringing local and international cultures together.
