There is sure to be a great day of competition at Perth Concert Hall tomorrow, with the first weekend of the Scottish Festival of Brass getting underway.
The Band Supplies Scottish Challenge Shield will see 19 First to Fourth Section competitors take to the stage from 9.30am.
The own-choice format will see 16 different test-pieces performed, promising a feast of music-making and a day that should keep the audience and adjudication team of Jim Davies and Kevin Wadsworth well entertained.
Forward thinking
Looking forward to the schedule of events SBBA President Carrie Boax told 4BR: "The inclusive nature of this festival reinforces how forward thinking the Scottish brass band movement is.
We are grateful to our principal sponsors Band Supplies Glasgow and Ronnie Tennant for his support not only of this event, but his support to SBBA throughout the year, and we are delighted that that Perth Concert Hall has been able to facilitate the streaming of this year's senior events and welcome BrassPass.tv during both weekends of the Festival."
