The 94th West of England Bandsmen's Festival will take place on Saturday 16th June in the famous Cornish banding village of Bugle.
18 bands will march down to the playing field arena at 10.00am in Molinnis Park to take part in an event that has a unique global appeal to brass band lovers.
Deportment awards will be made by Jonathan Lush Camps LRSM, whilst the music is in the hands of Foden's principal cornet player Mark Wilkinson.
Dutch band
This year the event welcomes the Spijkerpakkenband from the Netherlands, as well as the usual domestic contenders from Devon, Dorset and Cornwall. They will all battle it out in friendly musical rivalry for a share of the extensive array of silverware and a generous prize fund of over £4,000.
The winning band in the Championship Section will carry away £1,000 as well as the Royal Trophy, presented by the then Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, to the Festival in 1913.

Attractive selection
The Festival venue provides ample parking in view of the bandstand, and with comfortable seating available, sets the scene for the audience to enjoy the attractive selection of test pieces.
The contests commence at 11.30am.
