The University of Salford Musical Arts Programme has announced that the renowned Belgian euphonium soloist and Geneva Performing Artist Glenn Van Looy has accepted the role of International Brass Tutor in Residence.
Solo appearance
Starting this month, Glenn follows in the musical footsteps of tenor horn Owen Farr, and will make his first solo appearance of his tenure with the university symphonic wind band on the 16th March.
He will also deliver a workshop for students and provide a series of one to one lessons during the final semester of the academic year.

The news adds to the prestige of the University which is renowned throughout the world as a pioneering centre of brass banding educational excellence, with its own brass band, directed by Tom Davoren, recently working with composers and performers such as Lucy Pankhurst, Paul McGhee, Les Neish and James Fountain.
