The Enderby Band will round the concert series off in September

Following the success of the 2016 Shirebrook Town Music Festival and the popular 'Brass in the Park' Sunday afternoon concerts as well as the 'Open Entertainment Contest', Shirebrook Town Council has announced that they will once again run these events in 2017.

Park concerts

The Shirebrook Town Music Festival 'Brass Band Entertainment Contest' has been scheduled for 9th July, with the full list of dates and performers for the 'Brass in the Park' concerts to released in the New Year.

In recognition of winning the Entertainment Contest in both 2015 and 2016, the Enderby Band (above) will perform the final concert on Sunday 3rd September.

A spokesperson for Shirebrook Town Council told 4BR: "We are delighted that Enderby Band accepted our invitation to conclude the series for 2017. It seemed a great opportunity to invite the current 'Double Champion' to showcase their talents."

Shirebrook Entertainment Contest

The organisers also revealed that the 3rd Shirebrook Brass Band Open Entertainment Contest will take place at the Shirebrook Leisure Centre, Park Road, Shirebrook, Mansfield, Notts. (NG20 8JQ) on Sunday 9th July.
