The test-pieces to be used at the 2016 Dutch National Championships in Utrecht on the weekend of the 21st/22nd October have been announced.
Just a few weeks after the British Open in Birmingham, Peter Graham's 'Triumph of Time' will be heard once more in the Championship Section, whilst a new work entitled, 'Sinfonietta No.3' by Swiss composer Etienne Crausaz will test the First Division bands.
July premiere
Whilst the top flight contenders will be familiar with the Graham's celebratory work as they look to also claim their place at the European Championship in Ostend in 2017, Crausaz's linked four movement composition based on his own chorale will receive its world premiere at the Swiss Canton Festival this July.
Oliver Waespi's 'The Raid', originally commissioned to be used at the 2015 Swiss National Championships has been set for the Second Division, with Dan Price's 'Visions' testing the Third Division bands.
Welsh portrait
The affectionate historical portrait of the west Wales town of Briton Ferry was used at the 2015 Fourth Section National Finals of Great Britain.
The Fourth Division rivals will have to get to grips with the 'An English Pastorale' by Dean Jones, which was also used at this level as the set-work at the 2015 Regional Championships.
Judges
The Championship Section and First Division adjudication panel will comprise Russell Gray, Reid Gilje and Luc Vertommen. Mareika Gray, David Thornton and Dirk Lautenbach will adjudicate the Second, Third and Fourth Divisions.
