Under the direction of talented young conductor Ignatius Wang, the band performed a selection of works which included music by Paul Lovatt-Cooper and featured principal euphonium player and Sterling Instruments Artist, Mark Glover as soloist (above).
The band also worked with local primary school brass players and watched in appreciation as they gave their own excellent performance.
Returned home
Ignatius Wang has recently returned to his home country after spending valuable time in the UK working with The Royal Marines, Black Dyke and a number of orchestras. He has wasted no time getting the band up and running and has pledged that they be heavily involved in the music education scene in Singapore.
The performance also served as a warm-up for their first official public concert to be held in May at the prestigious Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Concert Hall in Singapore.

Little red dot
Setting up a permanent brass band in Singapore has been a mission for a number of British expatriates living on the Island, known as the 'Little Red Dot', with an increasing number of local brass enthusiasts now gaining further interest in developing the fledgling brass band scene.
This has given Ignatius a superb line up of players many of whom play professionally or who are respected Singaporean music students or expatriates.
