Besses has also welcomed back former player Josh Hughes to the soprano cornet chair where he will also take on the role of deputy resident MD.

The spokesperson added: "Josh says that he is looking forward to working with Dean, so the band is now focused on what hopefully promises to be, a long and fruitful partnership."
