Geneva to sponsor Cheltenham National Finals

British company becomes principal sponsor for major National event.

Geneva Instruments

Geneva Instruments has stepped forward to sponsor the forthcoming National Finals event to be held at The Centaur, Cheltenham, on 22 and 23 September.

Delighted

Speaking about the development, Philip Morris of Kapitol Promotions Ltd., which presents the event, commented: "We’re delighted that Geneva has decided to sponsor this event for a second time. Geneva is British-based Company, which is developing a full range of background brass band instruments and also doing its best to support the movement in general."

Heart and soul

Tim Oldroyd of Geneva told 4BR: "The National Finals for Sections 1 – 4 represent the grass roots of the movement, in which I’ve been involved for three decades and which are very much in my heart and soul.

Geneva prides itself on handcrafting instruments in Europe, which are rapidly attaining a world-class reputation, and the Company’s decision to become principal sponsor of this historic and very British event was an easy one."

Geneva is a Great British Company now sponsoring a Great British Championship for a Great British movementMD, Tim Oldroyd

Great

He added: "The ‘National’ is a series that not only spurs British bands, but is also as an icon of achievement across the world – the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

Geneva is a Great British Company now sponsoring a Great British Championship for a Great British movement."
