The Flowers Band will take to the stage at Snape Maltings in Aldeburgh in August as part of the prestigious Britten Pears Arts 'Summer At Snape' series of concerts.
The National Champion will perform at its Concert Hall on Saturday 23rd August (7.30pm) as part of a roster of 40 eclectic events from 26th July to 31st August.
These include, amongst others, performances from the City of Birmingham Orchestra, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, BBC Big Band, National Youth Orchestra, The Clare Teal Seven, Jess Gillam and Britten Sinfonia.
Excited
In announcing the accolade, the band stated that they were "extremely excited"and that, "they couldn't wait to perform in the absolutely stunning Concert Hall."
Although full programme details have yet to be announced, the featured soloists will be soprano cornet Paul Richards and horn player Emily Evans, as well as music by Bliss, Gavin Higgins, Dvorak and their 'Game On!' video concert set.

The band's recent commitment to inspiring the next generation of young players saw Paul Holland and a number of the players take part in a Gloucestershire Brass Band Association workshop, highlights of which, and interviews with those taking part can be heard on Dean Radio's 'Strike Up The Brass' on Monday 9th June at 6.00pm.
