Press Statement
In a press statement the Executive Committee state:
"Brass Bands England is delighted to reaffirm that the British Brass Band Registry is now up and running following much recent hard work from the Executive Volunteers.
Extra resources are now in place to clear the current backlog with priority being placed on requests relating to the forthcoming contests.
The issues with the PO Box have now been overcome and we are pleased to say that this is now fully functional.
However, over the next couple of months we wish to phase this out as we believe that it is an unnecessary extra cost to the Registry operations (and ultimately to bands) and encourage Bands to send all correspondence to ‘British Brass Band Registry, Unit 12, Maple Estate, Stocks Lane, Barnsley S75 2BL’.
With the formation of Brass Bands England the Registry has a new email address which is: registry@brassbandsengland.co.uk
The full Registry service will go live at midnight 1st September 2012.
Contest organisers wishing to use the British Brass Band Registry are requested to send details of their forthcoming contest to the Registry email address.
The telephone number remains the same: 01226 779136.
Finally, all at Brass Bands England would like to sincerely thank the bands for their co-operation and helpfulness during the testing times of the last month."
