The impressive RAF Fanfare team, last heard playing at the Royal Wedding is set to open the forthcoming Cardiff New Brass Brass Festival with the fanfare, 'Valiant and Brave,' heard at Westminster Abbey.
Inspired
The work was written by the group's conductor and Principal Director of Music, Wing Commander Duncan Stubbs. Inspired by a range of ceremonial music it named after the motto of 22 Squadron Search & Rescue, which Prince William is currently serving with as a pilot.
The event is all about the new and interesting, and the opportunity to hear the fanfare in a live concert by the very musicians from the Royal Wedding is a once in a lifetime experience for concert goersTom Davoren
Larger Brass
The group is part of the larger Symphonic Brass of the Royal Air Force, who will be the feature in the festival's 'Ensemble Explosion', held on Friday 10th June at the iconic Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral.
Artistic Director Tom Davoren told 4BR: "It is a great honour to have Symphonic Brass of the RAF appear. The event is all about the new and interesting, and the opportunity to hear the fanfare in a live concert by the very musicians from the Royal Wedding is a once in a lifetime experience for concert goers."
