After their success at the European Soloist competition in Linz just a couple of months ago, the young star Belgian players Glen Van Looy and Harmen Vanhoorne have been enjoying themselves and gaining new fans in Lithuania.
Exit duo
The duo are in the country with their group Exit Brass all this week, working with young brass players on a summer camp in the region of Panevezys.
The summer camp started on Monday and will last until Saturday and the talented duo will work with the children in sections as well as individually to increase their knowledge and improve their developing brass playing skills.
Give something back
On Wednesday they will provide the students with a short recital/ masterclass whilst on Saturday, Exit Brass will give a concert with the students to round off the enjoyable week of tuition and fun.
Harmen told 4BR: "We are both really happy to give something back to young players in Lithuania. We are happy that we can help them in any way we can, because they seem to really want to enjoy playing brass instruments."

Further success
Harmen himself has just enjoyed further success with his individual playing after winning the solo prize at the recent EuroBrass contest in Drachten.
Fortune's Fool
He added: "I played a new piece written by Stan Nieuwenhuis, my assistant principal in Buizingen, called 'Fortune's Fool'. It's a really fresh piece with a very intense beginning, before it becomes really funky and ends with a real flourish."
He added: "I was really delighted to win the solo prize, especially because it was the first 'big' piece Stan has written for me. I'm sure it isn't going to be the last one!"
