Scots get their NOBS out

The girls of Boobs & Brass may have started it, but now Russell Gray and the lads are getting in on the act for a great cause.

A Charity Concert in aid of Prostate Cancer given by the National Old Boys Brass Band of Scotland (NOBS) next month.

Best performers

Featuring some of the very best brass performers north of the border, the lads hope to raise both awareness and cash for the charity on the 7th November at St. Andrews Leckie Memorial Parish Church in Peebles.

Conducted by Russell Gray and featuring Scottish solo champion soloist Charles Cullen and the legendary Philip McCann, the NOBS
is made up of volunteers aged 40 and over — all in that most vunerable male age group for prostate cancer.

The title of the band may be a little light hearted but the cause is a very serious oneNOBS

Brilliant work

A NOBS spokesperson told 4BR: "We are all very aware of the brilliant work Boobs & Brass has done, and we felt that such an important health issue for men had to have a raised profile in the banding movement too. The title of the band may be a little light hearted but the cause is a very serious one."
