Return of Chris Williams

The Champion of Champions was won by Chris Williams on cornet who made his comeback to brass band solo competitions.

Originally from Queensland, Chris is now a professional trumpet player with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. His last brass band solo win was the National Junior Champion of Champions in the late 1990's.

Impressive record

Notable performances also from Hobart's MD, Simon Cawthorn. Simon won both the Open Ballad and Open Flugel titles for the 4th consecutive time.
