Bolsover to remember Thomas

The fine work of the late Graham Thomas will be remembered at the Bolsover Entertainment Contest.

Thomas

Although saddened by the news of the recent death of Graham Thomas, his contribution to the Bolsover Entertainment Contest will be remembered by Bolsover Council with the presentation of a new trophy.

Graham joined forces with Carole Crompton two years ago and worked tirelessly to promote and develop the event to make it the success it is today.

Charismatic

Carole Crompton told 4BR: "Although never a player, Graham was a true bandsman. I found Graham to be charismatic, confident and a great communicator which he put to good use as the event’s compere."

She added: "Graham will be a great loss to the management of the Bolsover Contest. He will be greatly missed by everyone."

This year will see the introduction of a new section at the contest splitting the 1st to 4th Section, and creating a 1st/2nd Section and a 3rd/4th Section.

The Winners Trophy in the new section will be dedicated to the memory of Graham in recognition of the role he played in developing the competitionorganisers
