Fife Youth -Next Generation, will be holding a brass and percussion workshop on Sunday 7th June.
Progress
It is just two years since the band was set up and the success has been startling for the group whose players at the moment are all under 18. Players come mainly from up and down Fife and also play in a variety of ensembles linked with their own brass band or school.
Promoted
The band has promoted six workshops, has played in three concerts and gained a Gold Award and second place in the senior section at the first time of entering the Scottish Open Youth Contest in November 2008.
Alison Hall told 4BR: "We now look to take things forward with input from the young people themselves and to give them more opportunity for positive musical experiences where possible."

Looking foward
The players are looking forward to 7th June where they will experience the talents of euphonium star David Thornton and tuba ace James Gourlay, who hails originally from Methil in Fife.
Working alongside David and James will be Perth based trumpet player, teacher and conductor Scott Barker and freelance percussionist Richard Dyson from Edinburgh.
