David Thornton will be the man in the box at the forthcoming Elland Silver Band Slow Melody and Quartet Contest.

Elland Silver Band has anounced that Black Dyke's David Thornton will adjudicate all sections at their 20th Annual Slow Melody & Quartet contest which takes place on Sunday May 10th commencing at 10.00am.

Sections

There are 5 slow melody sections, including Veterans (over 40), Junior & Senior Quartets and a Champion of Champions Section to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

Previous winners

All previous winners are invited to attend, such as Morgan Griffiths, Gareth Brindle, Jeanette Fowler, Andrew Bond, William Rushworth, Jim Tew and Samantha Harrison.

All entrants will receive a 20th anniversary commerative certificate.
