4BR Best Sellers

What were the best selling CDs and DVDs during the busy Regionals period?

4BR

With all eyes, ears, lips and brains focused on the Regional Championships up and down the country during the past month, the demand for brass band recordings has been holding up strongly.

Knocked off

After months at the top of the 4BR charts the Regionals 2009 has finally been knocked off its perch by the release of the DVD from the 2008 Brass in Concert Contest at The Sage.

Appetite

The appetite for Gilbert Vinter’s music though has been enjoying a bit of a boom, with Black Dyke’s recording of his music and the ‘Tribute’ release from Eminence Brass doing well.

Wilby

Elsewhere Philip Wilby’s ‘Breathless Alleluia’ remians very popular and there is still an amazing deamnd for the music of PLC – perhaps they are looking forward to the English Nationals test piece.

Fodens latest release makes an entry at number 8 and Katrina Marzella and Grimethorpe show that people love a touch of class too.
