Bands will be looking back into history it seems as the test piece for the 2009 European Brass Band Championships is announced by EBBA.

The set work for the A Section bands at this year’s European Brass Band Championships has been released.

From Ancient Times

Called 'From Ancient Times' it has been written by Belgian composer Jan Van der Roost.

The bands will receive their scores and parts by post in the first week of March, whilst they must submit their own choice pieces to the organisers no later than March 1st.

EBBA has also released the names of the 11 competing bands in the top section in Ostend.
