Former Swiss champions, Brass Band Fribourg, has appointed Vincent Baroni as its new conductor.
Busy
Baroni lives in Colombier in the canton of Neuchâtel, and is a cornet/trumpet teacher at the music school of Neuchâtel and MD of a regional music school. He is chairman of the music committee of the Swiss Solo and Quartet Competition and sits on the music committee
of Neuchâtel's Music Association.
In 2006, he won the Swiss Conductor's Competition in Baden and in June 2008, he completed his studies in orchestral direction under Dominique Roggen at the High School of Arts in Berne.
Baroni takes over from Arsène Duc, who conducted the Band from 2002 to 2008, and Pascal Eicher, who was acting conductor last autumn4BR

Brass Band Fribourg will continue working with their Musical Advisor Dr Robert Childs, who has stated that he is looking forward to
working with Vincent in the future.
