In October, Cleveland based band Langbaurgh Brass went back to its roots and changed its name back to North Skelton Band.
First place
On the weekend they competed at the Durham Brass Band Association contest under their new name and gained first place in Section B and also prizes for best percussion and best solo cornet.

Great achievement
"This was a great achievment for the band, who have not been able to contest for nearly three years due to lack of players" commented contest secretary Josie Coupland.
