Stepping down

After a decade of sorting out the problems, Jean Hunter calls it a day at Uppermill — and she never drew number 1 out of the hat!

After around 10 years with the Uppermill Band, Jean Hunter has decided to step down as Band Secretary.

Never number 1

Jean has been a committee member for many years and has been a hard working and highly respected Band Secretary for 8 years, representing the band at all Uppermill concerts and contests and never personally drawing a Number One in all those years!

A presentation of a framed print by a local artist featuring Uppermill Band, together with a bouquet of flowers was made to Jean at the Bandroom on her retirement from the post.
