Brighouse & Rastrick' s star baritone player and composer Leigh Baker has been appointed MD of the South Yorkshire Police Band with immediate effect.

Conviction rate

By all accounts the band has a conviction for good music making and arresting performances and Leigh will front the band (as well as its drum corps and fanfare team) at a wide variety of community and charity events in the South Yorkshire Area.

This is of course alongside the band's concert and competition calendar up and down the country.

Impressed

Leigh has been working with the band over the past few months and has been impressed with the commitment, enthusiasm and versatility shown by the band.
