Freckleton takes the top honours at the Wilkinsons Contest with wins for Dodworth, Rivington & Adlington and Blackley too.

The Wilkinson Northern Open Brass Band Championships took place at the Theatre Royal in St Helens on the weekend where a good turn out of bands competed for the £400 top prizes in each of the sections.
