Euphonium player Patrik Randefalk has become a new York performing Artist, by chossing to perform on the superb York Eminence euphonium.
Early start
Patrik Randefalk started playing the euphonium at the age of 6 in the Ystad Salvation Army Band in Sweden. He completed his pre-graduate musical schooling in Malmö and went on to Dalarö Folk High School where he studied Euphonium and Tuba with Christer Palm.
Soloist
In 1995/96 he studied for his Professional Performance Diploma at the
Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester/UK. Between 1997 and 2007 he was the principal Euphonium in Gothenburg Brass Band. He has frequently appeared as a soloist worldwide and has performed in Europe, USA, Russia, Australia and New Zealand.

Teacher and conductor
He has worked with Stockholm Symphony Orchestra, Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and other professional wind and brass ensembles in Scandinavia. His teaching and conducting employment has included the New Zealand Army Band, Gothenburg Music Academy and Stockholm School of Music.
Principal
In 2007 Patrik Randefalk moved to Bergen, Norway where he now works as a tutor, conductor, adjudicator and soloist. He regularly lectures at the Grieg Academy, Bergen, the University in Stavanger and local music schools.
He currently holds the principal Euphonium position with the renowned Eikanger Bjørsvik Band.
Patrik Randefalk now plays the York Eminence Euphonium model 4052.
