Russell Gray will lead Barnsley Building Society on the contesting stage over the next few weeks.

Barnsley Building Society Brass Band are pleased to have secured the services of Russell Gray as MD for the forthcoming Pontin's contest, as well as next month's Bolsover Entertainment Contest.
Russell had done a fair amount of concert and rehearsal work with the band over the summer and players were keen to continue the association into the serious business of the Autumn contests.
The former MD of the Band of the Royal Artillery has become well established on the Yorkshire circuit in recent years, conducting Stannington and Kippax and most notably winning the Second Section Area with Wakefield Metropolitan in 2007.
