New coat of arms
On Thursday night the band members received their new walking out jackets from Handley Band Uniforms of Leeds thanks to a very generous donation from the Kingston Trust. New ties will soon follow, whilst the new band badge was unveiled too — the Brighouse Coat of Arms with the band name above and below.

Spitfire
The band wore the jackets for the first time at Elvington for a service that was preceded with a flypast by a Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
After the service in which the band's principal cornet player performed the 'Last Post' and 'Reveille' the band gave a 45 minute programme of music from the 40’s which was very well received.
