Organisers have released details of the forthcoming Exmouth Brass Band Festival, which will take place on Saturday 6th September.
The Festival has attracted a maximum entry of 15 bands from Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Staffordshire and over 500 bandsmen will descend on Exmouth.
25 minute programme
Each band will compete in the Exmouth Pavilion for the “Exmouth Town Council Challenge Trophy“, presenting a 25-minute programme of own-choice music to adjudicator, Dennis Wilby.
Entertain
Additionally, throughout the day, the same bands will entertain the general public with 30-minute concerts in the adjacent Pavilion Gardens.
The Festival is a day to be enjoyed by all, bands and public alike, and an opportunity for the bands to demonstrate the best in brass banding in the South West.

Start time
The day’s events commence at 10.00am, concluding with the results and presentation ceremony at around 7.00pm.
The Association is greatly indebted to the Exmouth Town Council and Miller Countrywide Estate Agents for their continued and generous support of the Festival, and to the East Devon District Council and management of The Pavilion for their logistical assistance in promoting the Festival.
Tickets
Tickets to the Entertainment Contest are priced at £5 (concessions £3) available on the day.

The competing bands are: Appledore Silver; Bideford Town; Brixham Town; Camelford Town; Heyl Town; Lympstone South West Telecoms; Pendennis Brass Falmouth; Phoenix Brass (Crewkerne); Sidmouth Town; Soundhouse Brass; South Molton Town; St Breward Silver; Tiverton Town; Torrington Silver; Uttoxeter Town Brass.
