All Stars set for Charity

A brilliant All Star Band is doing its bit for charity in North Wales — inspired by a former YBS player.

An All Star band of all the best talents in the UK banding world are getting ready to support a great cause on the weekend in North Wales.

Inspired by the former YBS cornet player Eilir Williams it is taking place next Saturday in Tywyn in aid of Multiple Sclerosis.

Ground breaking

Eilir has suffered with the condition for many years, but has remained a staunch brass band supporter (as well as occassional critic!)and hopes that much needed funds can be raised to help a charity that undertakes an enourmous amount of ground breaking work into the illness.

Time and Date

The concert will be held at Neuadd Pendre, Tywyn at 7.30pm Saturday 16th August with players from Fodens, Northop, Barrow, Marsden and others leading and local bands.

Pot boilers

The Musical Director for the night will be Glyn Williams (Euphonium Virtuoso — he might be tempted to play too!- and conductor of Marsden Band) and the band will be performing all time favourites and "pot boilers" from the brass band repertoire.

The concert will be littered with solos including contributions from Alan Hobbins, Richard Poole, Helen Fox and Sheona White.

Tickets for this great cause are priced at £15 and include a buffet and disco after the concert to celebrate the marriage of Glyn Williams and Helen Fox.

Tickets can be reserved by contacting Mrs Llewela Williams on 01654 710498.
