Travelling over 500 miles may not seem the ideal way to spend a weekend but when it involves listening to over 30 good bands then why not?

Conductor and adjudicator David Hirst recently spent an enjoyable weekend adjudicating the prestigious Yeovil contest, then travelling on to Coleford the next day to adjudicate the Gloucester Brass Band Association entertainment contest.

David is already conducting in three Area contests and undertaking several testpiece workshops for bands in the forthcoming weeks.
