Cannock Salvation Army Corps will be holding its second open workshop and rehearsal day next month.
The free event on Tuesday 24th November will be held at their Wallhouse Street Citadel headquarters in Cannock (WS11 ODY) at 7.30pm, and will see the band led by guest conductor Dr Stephen Cobb, former Bandmaster of The International Staff Band of The Salvation Army.
The Kingdom Triumphant
He will lead the band through Eric Ball's iconic 'The Kingdom Triumphant' with a warm welcome open to all players to come along with their instruments to perform or to listen.
Bandmaster, Dave Elliott told 4BR: "This will be our second open rehearsal of the year. Our first event, held at Easter and led by Bandmaster Gavin Lamplough, focused on Leslie Condon's 'Easter Glory' and proved to be a highly successful and enjoyable evening.
We are now delighted to welcome such an experienced musician as Dr Cobb whose insight into Eric Ball's music is sure to reveal so much to everyone who can attend.
Free and open
The rehearsal is free to attend and is open to both players and listeners. Refreshments will be provided during the evening."
