Brass Bands England (BBE) is to continue its partnership with the digital donations platform Tipd by extending an exclusive, free-for-life deal to BBE member bands.
It enables live performance groups with the ability to collect cash-free donations seamlessly and securely, and follows the success of a link that first occurred for BBE's 'Brass Band Week' activities in 2025.
Free for life
BBE's Head of Fundraising, Development & Engagement Beth Lambert told 4BR: "The team at Tipd have very generously provided us with an exclusive offer allowing our member bands to sign up on a free for life basis.
It's a fantastic opportunity, and we've developed several resources to show bands how to get started and add Tipd to their fundraising toolkit!"
100%
Tipd ensures bands receive 100% of every donation with Gift Aid functionality included at no cost. There's no need for a card reader — supporters simply scan a custom QR code and donate directly from their phone, without interrupting performances.
A number of bands have already utilised the platform successfully with an impactful increase in their digital donation shares.
Vital help
Beth added: "Fundraising is vital to the sustainability of our bands, but the way people are giving is changing. Tipd is a fantastic resource to help bands adapt to this situation and make the most of every possible fundraising opportunity."
BBE members just need to download the Tipd app to their phone and go through the set-up process. Their free BBE Member Tipd account will be verified by the Tipd team, who will ensure that they are confident and ready to go to receive donations.
