Celebrations have been enjoyed by Renfrew Burgh Band as it recently marked its 115th anniversary.
The 'Burgh Band' was formed in 1911, and for this special event welcomed guests Mark Wilkinson and Adams Artist Gary Curtin from Foden's Band for a busy day of activities, including rehearsals and workshop sessions.
Concert
The day culminated in a concert enjoyed by a packed audience at Renfrew Town Hall, where Mark and Gary delighted everyone with their playing.
Reflecting on the occasion, MD Mark Good told 4BR: "Our summer concert has become an annual tradition, but this year was extra special as we marked our 115th anniversary.
Mark and Gary were inspiring, sharing their advice and experience with band members with honesty and good humour and then thrilling the audience at the concert. The band really revelled in the occasion, performing with great musicality."
The summer concert came after months of preparation, with the band and its leadership team working hard to ensure the event was a success.

Proud heritage
Chairperson Shona Jones told 4BR: "It was a pleasure to welcome friends and supporters old and new as we celebrated together. We're proud of our heritage and grateful to all those whose dedication has ensured that brass band music continues to thrive in Renfrew.
We look forward to many more years of representing Renfrew with pride, at home and further afield."
The band will now enjoy a couple of weeks of rest, before resuming rehearsals later in July ahead of a busy contesting season.
