Imps look for a helping hand...

Yorkshire Imperial is looking for a new signing or two — but you don't have to be able to play an instrument.

Yorkshire Imps
Yorkshire Imperial are looking for help

In an age when bands are usually looking for players to bolster the ranks, the Yorkshire Imperial Band is looking for a different kind of help — and you don't have to be able to play a musical note.

Helper

The band is looking for a general 'helper' or someone they say, "loves the sound of a brass band — in particular Yorkshire Imps", and would like to help them towards future success.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We are looking for a dedicated helper to join our team behind the scenes. No musical ability required — just a genuine love for the Imps and a willingness to muck in.

They can help in anyway possible to keep the wheels turning of the band on concert and contest days, admin or general support."

Passion

In return the band offers plenty of new friends, great music to enjoy and even free travel to events! If you have a passion or just think you can offer something to a band that has a welcoming attitude, then all you need to do is get in touch.

The band spokesperson added: "Maybe you're a partner or family member of a current player who already comes along to everything anyway. Maybe you just love brass bands and want to be involved. Whatever your background, if you care about the Imps, we want to hear from you."
