EBBA President Ulf Rosenberg has told 4BR that he fully understands the disappointment felt by brass band supporters in being unable to secure certain ticket packages for the 2025 European Championship in Stavanger later this year.
Unprecedented demand
It follows an unprecedented demand for combi-tickets and those for the highest profile events at Stavanger Concert Hall over the weekend of the 9th-11th May.
These were sold out within 15 minutes them being out on sale, leading to disappointment for many who tried to book them as soon as the website ticket lines were open.
Further tranche
In response, EBBA and local organisers through the NMF stated: "As you know, the combi tickets and certain event tickets were sold out quickly.
We were prepared for this possibility and therefore opted to use a queue-system to make the ticket sale as fair as possible. Due to the overwhelming interest, the tickets sold out faster than ever."
It was confirmed that a further tranche of tickets will be made available through www.ebbc.musikkkorps.no and www.ebba.eu.com on March 10th.
Tickets are still available for the Conductors Competition, Development Section, and EBBA Youth Championship.
In addition, people are able to attend the Gala Concert and the following Brass Party. Tickets are available at: https://www.stavanger-konserthus.no/program/

Aware
Speaking 4BR at the recent RNCM International Brass Band Festival, Ulf Rosenberg said: "We are of course delighted that once again the EBBA Championships has attracted so much interest from brass band supporters.
However, this is balanced with EBBA being aware that this has meant that people have been left disappointed that at present they are unable to purchase the tickets they wished for."
He added: "EBBA and the Norwegian Band Federation NMF are very excited to welcome European bands and audiences to the wonderful concert hall in Stavanger.
We also offer a warm welcome to supporters across the world who will be able to enjoy the performances through the Wobplay.com media platform provided by our partners at World of Brass."
