The UniBrass Foundation is looking to make a new appointment

The UniBrass Foundation has announced that it is currently seeking to recruit a motivated individual to join their Board of Trustees as its Treasurer and help continue its work in the university and higher education brass band sector.

The Foundation now works closely with over 25 universities and over 1,000 students.

Various projects

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We organise the National University Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as various other projects such as Band Camp (the summer school for university-age individuals), Artist in Association (where a professional artist is embedded in a university band for a number of months), and various other fundraising and support activities.

We are now looking for new trustees to join the UniBrass board and help continue to grow the charity."

Hear from you

They added: "The charity would love to hear from anyone keen to help support the student brass band community as treasurer. We could be particularly interested in hearing from interested candidates with experience managing budgets, or success in grant applications (ideally for arts causes) or securing other sources of income.

The trustees are eager to ensure the trustee board represents the community we aim to support and so welcome applicants from across the UK and/or from any background."

Applications

Furthermore, any applicants from outside the brass band community, who can offer a different perspective but who nonetheless support the work of the Foundation would also be greatly encouraged."

The closing date is Tuesday 25th February.
