In two new Smith & Grezzy podcasts, Sandy and Simon talk to Samantha Harrison about her work with the Elland Silver Band organisation, and Garry Cutt, in paying tribute to the great Elgar Howarth, who recently passed away aged 89.

Sam talks about her family connections to the banding movement and what was to become a lifelong passion and association with Elland Silver Band and he remarkable work in developing young players over the last 30 years.

Elland Silver Band is now a beacon of excellence and also an inspiration to others — something that will be celebrated at the Halifax Youth Band Festival on 8th February.

Garry pays a very personal tribute to Elgar Howarth during their connection together at Grimethorpe Colliery Band.
