Stranraer Brass will be celebrating its 50th birthday on Saturday 4th November with a reunion concert which will include former as well as current members.

The concert in the Ryan Centre in Stranraer (3.00pm) will feature the current band in the first half with the second half seeing the massed band performing.

Proud representatives

Starting life as Stranraer Youth Band in 1973 conducted by Jim Smith, the band took on its senior identity in 2002 and has gone on to proudly represent their town and nation at the National Finals on several occasions.

After the concert everyone has been invited to an informal party and buffet where they can all shares great memories.
