Denis Wick adds star polish to mouthpiece performers

A raft of high profile star performers have joined the Denis Wick Products stable.

Several leading brass performers have joined the Denis Wick Products stable of performing artists.

These include David Thornton, euphonium soloist and MD of GUS Band, as well as A4 Quartet and Black Dyke baritone player Mike Cavanagh.

Star players

They are joined by Black Dyke flugel and Eb bass stars Stephanie Binns and Gavin Saynor alongside Grimethorpe euphonium soloist Adam Bokaris and his fellow trombone soloist Christopher Binns. Matthew Cotterhill, a tuba and Sousaphone performer with Renegade Brass Band and Back Chat Brass has also been signed.

From the orchestral world, trumpet player Paul Archibald, who is Head of Brass & Woodwind at the Shrewsbury International School in Thailand is joined by Uruguayan tuba player Felipe Martins and Australian euphonium star Fletcher Mitchell. The Norwegian brass duo 'Dopey Monkey' also come to Denis Wick.

Worldwide

Two leading European euphonium players, Aurelie Cassin from France and Raul Sabiote from Spain add to a worldwide rota that now includes Taiwanese euph stars Yu Han Yang, who recently performed as a soloist with Tredegar Band at the BBC Proms, and Tzu-Hsiang Lin. Australian euphonium soloist Fletcher Mitchell also comes on board.

The brand's Alliance range has also welcomed American euphonium performers John Caputo and Grant Jameson.

Rushden Town Band

November 25 • Trombone Player. This friendly band is looking for a tenor trombone player to join its ranks. The band enjoys playing at regular concerts each year and is off to the Rhineland next year on its second tour.


Chinnor Silver

November 25 • You need to be quick, we are almost full but just require Eb bass and percussion. We are a friendly, welcoming and ambitious band and start 2025 at the top of our second section ranking table. We rehearse on a Wed evening in our own bandroom in Chinnor.


Hathersage Band

November 25 • Hathersage Brass Band is a thriving community band. We enjoy making music and have a good gig schedule. An opportunity has arisen for the right person to join our Principal Cornet Ed as co-principal. Are you up for the challenge? This is our only vacancy.
